Made in East Tennessee film festival

Last night, I went to the Made in East Tennessee film festival. The “festival” was a showing of 10 student films from the RTVF department at ETSU of all different styles and genres.

I didn’t even know this event/opportunity existed & I certainly didn’t know what to expect from it, but I have to say I am really really really pleasantly surprised by how amazing it was.

The films were all so individual, personal, and really creative in their ideas and processes. I loved seeing how inspired everyone was.

I went to write an article for the East Tennessean, so I interviewed a couple people; and that was a great experience, too… To hear people talk about their work, and their emotions inside of their work, and also their processes, equipment, techniques.. so cool.

I realized some great talent lies on our campus and also how amazing this festival opportunity is.

I’m really glad I went and am planning on submitting my own film to it next year!
