PROJECT PROPOSAL

Towards the end of last semester, I made a blog post about my goals and a specific goal that I’m going to try to achieve this current semester (and that hopefully becomes a habit). I said that I was going to read 2 books a month, and although I didn’t read 2 books for the month of January, I am going to for February. I actually joined a book club. We aren’t reading the types of books that I thought we would be, but it’s a cool little group and I’m looking forward to branching out of my literary comfort zone and trying new things. So, for the month of February I am going to read a book titled Sworn to Silence for my book club and I’m either going to finish reading Tender is the Night or I’m going to take Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut off of my night stand for once for my personal outside of school pleasure & time.

For this project, I am supposed to donate about 15 hours of time (or more) to it through the course of the semester. That’s going to be a super easy time limit to exceed since book club meets once a month for about 2-3 hours and I’ll also be reading for hours on my own time. As of now, I’m aiming to spend about 4 hours on reading a week, starting next week (on Monday).

As for an update on my other goals, they are going good too. I’ve been watching about 2 movies every week (thanks to my film class) and I got my Netflix DVD queue updated with some of the best movies.

I’m feeling driven and inspired this semester, so I’m making my aspirations my realities.
