Last weekend, I did 3 volunteer hours with Habitat for Humanity at a house build on Wade Street. It was me, another girl named Sarah from ETSU United Way (volunteer organization), and some men that build regularly with Habitat for Humanity. During our 3 hours there, we helped construct the footer for the house, the foundation that the house is built on (wood frame held together by stakes that cement gets poured in to). I learned a lot about something really new to me through this process and am happy to have had a part in it! I’m definitely thinking about going back to the same build to help out to see the finished product in a couple months!
